Argyll Coffee Roasters based in the heart of Scotland, had built a loyal following through word of mouth and exceptional small-batch roasting. But their original website — focused mainly on storytelling couldn’t keep up with growing demand, nor did it provide the tools needed to scale direct-to-consumer and business-to-business sales.
They needed an eCommerce platform that preserved their authentic brand identity while unlocking new features: subscriptions, bulk ordering, and a tailored B2B experience, all without sacrificing user-friendliness or search visibility.

A Seamless Shopify Storefront Rooted in Brand Authenticity
We designed a custom Shopify theme that captures Argyll’s brand — clean, characterful, and confident. The store is structured to:

Streamline navigation across collections, gift boxes, brewing equipment, and subscriptions

Subscriptions and B2B Made Simple
To cater to a growing customer base, we introduced two key features
- Recharge-powered subscriptions, allowing customers to receive their favourite blends at their preferred frequency. This helped increase customer retention and predictability in revenue.
- B2B functionality, including exclusive access areas, custom quote requests, and simplified bulk ordering — all built into the existing theme and UX for seamless operation.
These features unlocked new revenue streams without introducing complexity.
